Our projects are all about

partnership and collaboration

We collaborate with local organisations, combining our skills and resources with their local insight, experience and knowledge.

Each of our partners is aligned with CBL in terms of both vision and mission and what we are trying to achieve, as well as in philosophy and approach. Our partners go deep, working with individuals and families, to see transformation and change in communities. They apply a holistic, participatory and asset-based approach. This means they look at the development of the whole person (not just economic development); that people and communities are participants in their own empowerment – designing and problem-solving their own solutions; and that the starting point is to look at what a person has in their hand and themselves to work with, rather than what they lack.

Each of our partners is a registered organisation with their respective governments, and follows the legal requirements of their own country, as well as adhering to a high standard of accountability with CBL. Our partners are all Christian organisations, whose focus is community development, sharing the love of Jesus through practical action.

We currently work with local partners in eSwatini (formerly Swaziland), India, Rwanda and Sri Lanka.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
